Elasticsearch require Java, therefor you will need to install Java first.

Update apt package list :

sudo apt-get update

Install Java :

sudo apt-get install default-jre -y

Verify if Java has installed on your system by run :

java -version

Now time to install Elasticsearch :

sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https -y
wget -qO - https://artifacts.elastic.co/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch | sudo apt-key add -
add-apt-repository "deb https://artifacts.elastic.co/packages/7.x/apt stable main"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install elasticsearch -y
