What is Electron ?

Its own definition, Electron is an open source developed by Github to build cross-platform desktop applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Electron combine Chromium and Node.js into a single runtime and applications can be packaged for Mac, Windows, and Linux. In 2014, Electron become a popular tool used by open source developers startups.

Electron are managed by the GitHub team and some of the active contributors in the community are contributors who work in companies that develop Electron.

 

3. What Have Released ?

 

Electron often release bugfix APIs and new versions of Chromium and Node.js. The Chromium Electron Version is usually updated within a week or two after a new stable Chromium version is launched.

 

4. What Is The Core Philosophy of Electron ?

 

In order to keep Electron (file size) small, and ongoing deployment dependencies and APIs, the project limits the scope of the core project.
